For over a decade, Nimish Shah has been at the forefront of the Indian fashion industry, as a designer, entrepreneur, creative consultant and sustainability advocate. Nimish takes a multi-disciplinary, craft-based approach to his work, innovating on everything from handmade textiles to brand campaigns and store interiors.

After stints at Chloe and Burberry, Nimish returned to India and launched his own fashion label Shift in 2011, which went on to win several industry awards and accolades, as well as widespread media coverage. Shift has since evolved into a multi-disciplinary creative studio spanning fashion, product design, consultancy and most recently in 2025, an art residency.

Shift hosted three mid-career artists in a curated residency to produced textile works using screen printing. Outcomes from this residency spotlight the presence of artist and craftsman in creation of these art objects.

In 2018, Nimish was appointed Creative Director at Bhaane, where he undertook a complete brand overhaul, producing unique collections, forging prestigious partnerships across fine art and design and commissioning niche content.

Additionally, Nimish has lent his global-local eye to the re-launch of Converse in India. Other consultancies include Spice Jet Limited, Himatsingka Seide Ltd and Cabbages and Roses.

Nimish is a recipient of awards from Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire and Grazia and more. He is a graduate of London College of Fashion and has a bachelor's degree in product design.
